Summertown Board Resignation

Important letter from the SRAA Board..

Dear Residents,

It has been a pleasure working for you as members of the
Homeowner’s Association Board. We have made many new acquaintances
and friends. Through all of the challenges, we have been supported by
many wonderful people and to those we are grateful.

The time has come for all of us to step down and support the next group of
dedicated individuals. As of September 30, 2010, we resign our positions. It
will be up to the next interested persons to continue the homeowner’s
association. The front entrance which includes maintenance, water &
electricity, the tennis/lake/pool area (separate water & electricity) will be
cut off as of September 30. Property taxes for the recreation area will be
paid through the end of the year. We look forward to supporting who ever
will be following in our footsteps. There will be a meeting August 22nd @
3:00pm at the Pavilion to elect new board members. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.

Respectfully,
April LeFlore, President
Amanda Calloway, Vice President
Cindy Dumler, Secretary
Joanne Polentz, Treasurer
Monica Little, Parliamentarian/Pool Chair

Silent Auction Update / New day and time.

The silent auction is on August 7th at 7:30pm at the pavilion. Fliers will be going out. If you worked anyplace that might donate something for it since we are a tax-exempt assoc. call Joanne at 770-465-5282.

You can bring whatever you would like to drink, an hor d'oeuvre to share, a chair to sit in and your checkbook or cash for bidding. We are providing the music and the "gifts to be auctioned. Joanne will have plates, napkins and cups.

This is a fund raiser because we are really short this year. Relatives and friends are welcome. It's an evening of fun out for the adults.

Pool Opening Next Saturday: 5/29/2010

Our SRAA President, April Leflore, reports that the pool will open this coming Saturday. You can pay your 2010 membership fees at the pavilion from 10am to 1pm. There will be free hot dogs for those who attend.

Free firewood: 4/17/2010

Lyle Helgerson and Larry Harrison recently did some cuttings on trees encroaching on the pool. A by product of that is a stack of firewood free for the taking-- just haul it away and it's yours! It's heavy now because it's green, but Lyle thinks this stuff is going to make great firewood once it dries out. You can pick it up next to the bulletin board at the Summertown pool.

Keys Found: 2/6/2010

by Larry Harrison

Went for a walk this morning and found a set of keys that I'm certain someone would very much like to secure again. Have them contact me at 770 469 6150 and identify.

In the interest that the owner does not have email it might be a good idea for each of us with email to check with their neighbor(s) and see if they had lost keys.

update from Larry: I found them on the right hand side of the road in the gutter just about half way to the corner from the creek and Deep Springs. I had hoped that the email might spring the owner loose - however, also knowing the owner needs these keys asap I took them to Kroger and let them follow through getting ahold of the rightful owner.
